Heirloom Enamel & Diamond Stud Earrings

Beautifully set in a 500 year old style of craftsmanship with stunning & very detailed enamel detailing on the back and side of the earring. A very labour intensive, fully hand made technique of making jewellery.

Very much inspired by ‘Jodha Bai’. Jodha Bai was a Hindu Rajput princess who, in 1562 was offered in marriage to the Mughal emperor Akbar . Her marriage was a political one, showing submission to her father, a shift in religious and social policy. She is widely known through history for her grace, simplicity, dignity , power and ‘as exemplifying Akbar’s and the Mughal’s tolerance of religious differences and their inclusive policies within an expanding multi-ethnic and multi-denominational empire’ .We have also been intrigued with her story and history.

22kt gold – 9.290 grams; 1.75 carat uncut diamonds; 2 cm in length from ear lobe.
