Enamel
Hand enamel techniques date back to 224AD when master Iranian craftsmen introduced enamel to the world. The Mughals then brought the technique to India in the 13th Century.
The colours & patterns we have used are inspired by the vibrant colours that many old palace walls & floors in from the Mughal era are hand painted with. Indeed one can find similar influences in the old palaces from the European renaissance too.
Traditional & detailed enamel work is becoming a harder & harder technique to get done, with only a handful of really skilled artisans who are able to practice the art with perfection.
