I thought you all ‘May’ like to see these pretty insane beauties 🔥so sharing 😊… May - the month of emeralds, new beginnings…and hopefully non stop sunlight ☀️

Emeralds: especially natural & rare, from millions of years, cut, polished, enhanced - my personal favourite stone; and these are currently my favourite emerald earrings. Featuring a combination of certified & graded rare Ethiopian Emeralds (4.04 carat); brilliant cut, rose cut & baguette natural diamonds (4.66 carat - VS -SI clarity). Have tried to show them in various natural angles & lights.

KASTUR (my late grandmother) used to say (in our mother tongue Gujarati) - ‘’well what are diamonds ? Just shiny rocks from our darling Mother Earth’’ true words. She was a staunch Jain - the most remarkable woman. She believed in investing in gold & gems despite hardly wearing any. She hadn’t touched a potato in her life, never adorned silk, never touched leather. She helped whoever she could (literally). She did always have on a pretty red ruby or diamond nose ring; ruby or diamond earrings & a stack of gold bangles on her wrists. Sometimes a gold chain too. Her head was usually always covered. She was an avid reader & loved her ‘chai’ ☕️
She was dignity, charm, class, sophistication, humility all in one.

That generation were a class of their own. Sadly not as many videos or photos from that time. (The last pic is not of KASTUR😊 , but of me in my store surrounded by my peeps ✌🏽 )
