18kt Gold Heirloom Mughal Inspired Ruby Ring

A work of art, all hand done.

Set on 18kt gold, intricately inlaid with 3.32 carat of natural no heat Mozambique rubies; 0.47 carat of rose cut diamonds & 0.15 carat of round brilliant cut diamonds. This ring has been handcrafted using the ancient technique of ‘Jali’, taking inspiration from the detailed architectural forms from the 15th Century. The technique traces back origins to the Mughal era (and possibly right back to ancient Persia), where the miniature architectural detail is used to form inspiration for this technique. There are only a handful of artisans who are able to perfect this technique now.
