A truly special piece of jewellery. Close to our hearts. A labour of love.
This ring has been handcrafted using a 500 year old technique called ‘partash’ which involves intricate hang engraving work onto the solid 18kt gold. The inside of the ring is hand crafted using the ancient technique of ‘Jali’, taking inspiration from the detailed architectural forms from the 15th Century. Both techniques trace back origins to the Mughal era (and possibly right back to ancient Persia). There are only a handful of artisans who are able to perfect this technique now.
18kt gold with 0.50 carat of an Old Mine Cut Diamond. (the latter is a style of diamond that emerged in the 1700’s. As Sothebys highlighted ‘Old Mine Cut Diamonds have a soft and romantic appearance. These diamonds are difficult to come by and quite popular amongst those ‘in the know’.
A great alternative & very unique engagement ring.
17.5 mm diameter; UK size R, US 8.5. (mm is the most accurate as every ring chart is a bit different) It can be made in any size.
