Bridgerton & Kastur Jewels

February 2026

Kastur Jewels is a London-based jewellery brand rooted in heritage, storytelling, and social conscience, brought to global attention through its appearance in Netflix’s Bridgerton. Designer Rajvi Vora’s pieces adorn the Sharma sisters, Kate and Edwina, seamlessly blending Indian design traditions with Regency-era costume drama.

For Kate, the show chose a lightweight gold-plated silver necklace and matching earrings inspired by art deco sunflower forms and Mughal architectural motifs, centred on labradorite, a stone associated with transformation and resilience. Edwina wears refined jhumki-style earrings and a matching necklace, a bell-shaped design with roots in the Chola dynasty, offering a subtle yet distinctly Indian silhouette.

Kastur Jewels itself is steeped in cross-cultural history, drawing inspiration from 16th-century Mughal India through to the Victorian and Edwardian periods, while being handcrafted in small artisanal workshops in Jaipur and Nairobi. This historical breadth sits comfortably within Bridgerton’s fantasy Regency world, where heritage-inspired designs feel both authentic and contemporary. The brand’s presence in prestigious cultural spaces such as the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Museum underlines its commitment to craftsmanship and narrative-led design.

Underlying Kastur Jewels is the Jain faith, which Vora describes as a profound way of life centred on non-violence, ethical conduct, and conscious decision-making. Her Jain upbringing, influenced by generations of simple, devout women for whom gold was an heirloom of care and continuity, informs everything from pricing to sourcing and philanthropy. A percentage of every sale supports humanitarian projects in Kenya and India, aligning luxury with compassion and karmic responsibility. This ethos echoes the Jain principle of “do no harm”, extending beyond materials to the people and communities her work touches.

“Jainism as a religion, well, it’s more like a way of life. It has a huge spiritual context. Some people say it’s a segment of Hinduism, but Jains will not agree with that in any way. In Jainism, there is a huge focus on nonviolence in all aspects — mind, body, speech — you do not hurt anyone, even your thoughts. There’s a focus on karma too. I feel like I try to live all of this with my store, my jewelry, in everything that I do. I know this sounds crazy, but it really is the way I operate my business….”
